 According to a number of news sources, iPhone was involved in an incident that the unit simply blew up in Europe. The consumer protection commissioner of the European Commission is currently investigating whether your iPhone or iPod is likely to blow up after a number of report in Europe. There is no comment from Apple as to why it happened and it is still investigating. What is common is that all reports follow a ver similar event, the unit heats up and made a hissing noise and went "pop".
