Motor fanatics looking for value-for-money should steer towards the T25. Designed by Formula One engineer Gordon Murray, the three-seater car weighs just 1,200 pounds and squeezes an impressive 74 miles per gallon. The vehicle uses the highly-efficient iStream manufacturing technology and costs just USD$9,000.
The T25s are built by attaching the car's parts to the chassis before adding a pre-painted body to the vehicle, just like F1 cars. But potential customers will have a long wait on their hands as the T25 will not be readily available for another two years. An all-electric version, titled the T27, is expected to follow at a later date.
Key features of the T25:
- Park at 90 degrees to the curb, offering real consumer benefits.
- Park up to 3 cars in one parallel parking space.
- The central driving position generates a unique, ‘cool’ and fun driving experience.
- Class-leading rear passenger leg room (better than most ‘B-Segment’ cars).
- Accident repair costs are kept low by way of replaceable body panels.
- 75 miles per gallon.
