The NuFunk movement continues with the release of the highly anticipated fourth album, " Welcome To Nufunktonia", from Juno nominated God Made ME Funky (GMMF). The new album, set for release on July 14, 2009, includes the first single On The Line (Lay It), a re-interpolation of the song by Canadian rock legends Triumph. Famed rocker Rik Emmett consulted with the band to help them with their dramatic new reinvention of the song. The single features R&B heavy hitter and Juno Award winner Jully Black.

The group's recent addition of Melissa O'Neil as their new female vocalist will take an already incredible live experience to the next level! O'Neil was the first female Canadian Idol winner (season three) and is known from her recent role as a principal vocalist in Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage .

GMMF's trademark eclectic mix of R&B, hip-hop, funk and rock is showcased on the upcoming album and pushes the envelope, incorporating a variety of new musical influences and creating a truly diverse sound for the band! The track "Cybersects" is in line with the band's playful nature, with catchy lyrics and danceable hooks. While, "So In Effect" is an electronic-infused track, produced by the uber-talented Keith Harris (Producer/ Drummer Blacked Eyed Peas and Fergie) and features the vocal talent of Miku Graham (Instant Star).
