David Yurman, America’s premier jewelry and timepiece designer, launches David Yurman Eyewear for men and women this winter at Josephson Opticians. The premier collection, which includes both sun and ophthalmic ranges, is a first for the designer, and will reflect the timeless heritage for which the brand is known. With iconic design elements, the eyewear collection incorporates signature sterling silver and 18-karat gold adornments, as well as fine diamonds and semi-precious stones including onyx, topaz, amethyst and citrine.

The finest materials have been used in the creation of David Yurman Eyewear. Metal frames feature 18-karat gold and other precious metal plating. David Yurman has created an exclusive color palette of handmade Italian acetate based on signature bold colored stones including black onyx, obsidian, tiger’s eye, garnet, white agate and green tourmaline.

The women’s collection expands upon the classic David Yurman design elements such as buckles, cable and precious stones. Each piece is infused with the refined craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless design for which David Yurman is recognized and acclaimed. The groups include Buckle, inspired by the iconic bracelet and adorned with an intricate buckle adding distinction to the accessory; Cable Classics, Cable and Waverly, feature clean, luxurious evolutions of the signature cable design that envelops the frame in sterling silver and 18-karat gold; Mosaic, an extravagant frame offering opulence with large, cushion-cut precious and semi-precious stones; and Albion, frames decorated by a signature cushion-shaped stone and encircled by the David Yurman classic cable design. 

 

The men’s collection is equally distinguished. All men’s frames feature world-renowned ZEISS lenses in custom colors and coatings with a selection of sunglasses featuring polarized lenses. The groups range from Phantom, an interpretation of the seamless duality between function and design, featuring titanium flexors, Rubberon® carved rubber and cable texture; Exotics, frames offering a strong, masculine visual with semi-precious stones evocative of the David Yurman aesthetic; and Signature, Shadow and Cable, offering timeless adaptations of the David Yurman signature sterling silver cable, also available in genuine buffalo horn.

An exclusive collection of luxury frames for men and women is available in solid gold with pavé diamonds. 

David Yurman has partnered with Legacie, the luxury house of B. Robinson Optical, to produce its first eyewear collection. Both sunglasses and ophthalmics will be available at Josephson Opticians exclusively in Canada until end of March 2009.
