The 10-megapixel digital camera spots a 5x Optical Zoom Lens (28-140mm), a 2.8" vari-angel LCD with manual exposure control, high ISO sensitivity up to 3200, RAW file capture, optical Image Stabilization, an advanced face detection and built-in flash capable of up to 7 meter range along with Canon's E-TTL hot shoe allowing you to mount an external flash when needed.

The G11 is an advance point-and-shoot camera in a range finder style with the availity to provide pro level quality photo. Retail price is $599.95 at Vistek.ca and Henry's.

20090908-panasonic-gf1Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 is a new digital SLR style using Micro Four Thirds censor. The camera looks like an SLR with ability to change lenses and  internally there is no mirror.  Micro Four Thirds is an extension of the Four Thirds standard that Olympus, Leica and Panasonic have used for their recent DSLRs. It will be compatible with existing Four Thirds lense with just an adaptor ring, however, auto foucs will only be compatible with contrast-detect AF.

Distinguished by an artistic flat body that is both elegant and compact, the new DMC-GF1 debuts as the world's smallest and lightest system camera with a built-in flash.  The GF1 features a 12.1-megapixel Micro Four Thirds System DSLR delivers Pro-level picture quality in an ultra compact design & features High Def AVCHD Lite Movie Recording with Full 720p Movie Capture + iAuto Mode with "Peripheral Defocus" to prevent shooting errors.
